Job summary

Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a professional phlebotomist for ambulatory clinic settings. You will collect blood samples and identify patients, and manage test orders in the EMR, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy in clinic or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and identify blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary puncture across age groups.
• Access and print test orders from the EMR; transcribe outside orders as required.
• Process specimens and prepare for transport per IATA regulations.
• Perform waived point-of-care tests and ensure quality results.
• Instruct patients on collection procedures and provide resources if needed.
• Assist with training phlebotomy interns and maintain supply stock.
