Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity with potential to convert to permanent. Shift 6 AM–6 PM, Monday to Friday, 8 hours, may require early start or late finish, and rotate weekends; will float to Vista and Encinitas locations; mileage paid.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, handling specimens, and ensuring accuracy with patient data; requires valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months' experience;

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or clinical setting.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure requisitions match specimens and transport specimens properly.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
