Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Oceanside, CA seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential to become permanent. Schedule is 6AM to 6PM, Mon–Fri, 8-hour shifts with weekend rotation; may start as early as 6AM or end by 6PM. Position may float to PSC locations in Vista and Encinitas.

Mileage is reimbursed. Duration is 3 months. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, data maintenance, specimen transport, and ensuring protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Package specimens for transport and label correctly.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and follow transport protocols.
