Starling Physicians in Berkeley Heights, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our lab team. The role involves aseptic blood collection, processing specimens, and home collection instructions at Berkeley Heights Lab and nearby sites.

The position requires at least 2 years phlebotomy experience, HS diploma, and preferred NHA certification. The role includes a variable schedule and on-site work with potential travel to satellite locations.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required; drug screen collection preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through NHA preferred; may be required at some locations.
• CLA Certificate preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Process Stat specimens per SOP.
• Collects and labels specimens for home collection (Urine & Stool) and 24-hour collections.
• Handles H. pylori Breath test collection and processing.
• Processes satellite specimens and delivers to the appropriate department.
• Monitors inventory and replenishes supplies in phlebotomy area.
• Document callbacks and patient communications per policy.
• Uses LIS for all applicable duties and adapts to emergency staffing.
