Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is actively seeking a Phlebotomist to work weekdays from 8 AM to 7 PM at our Neptune Township, NJ laboratory. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of prior phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

Phlebotomists will draw blood, prepare patients for collection, label specimens, and ensure safety and accuracy in test processing, with opportunities to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices.
• Able to work nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
• Valid State issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify patients and collect specimens.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Label tubes and ensure proper test orders.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with Covid-19 tests when trained.
• Record keeping and patient data management.
