Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist Float in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The role requires handling adult, pediatric, and geriatric phlebotomy across multiple NJ satellite locations, with travel as needed and a focus on accuracy in LIS entries.

Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are required; NHA certification preferred. The position offers full-time hours with a rotating schedule and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required and drug screen collection preferred.
• Must be able to perform testing at satellite locations.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the National Health Career Association (NHA) preferred; CLA certificate may be required for some locations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements; proficient in phlebotomy for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients; data entry skills and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients at satellite lab and coordinate day-list scheduling.
• Process specimens for transport to the main lab by courier.
• Perform rapid Strep and Hemoccult tests in LIS and relay critical results to physicians.
• Trained staff in lab policies and procedures; assist with policy adherence.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed to support NJ clinical lab operations.
