Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Monroe, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential to become permanent. Schedule Mon–Thu 9:00am–6:30pm, Fri 9:00am–1:00pm. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for perm. Pediatric experience is required and benefits are available.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, maintaining records, and ensuring specimen integrity according to protocols. OSHA/DEP regulations compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label correctly.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
