Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Monroe, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist (Code 6082) for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent placement. The role requires pediatric experience and a valid phlebotomy certification.

Schedule is Mon-Thu 9:00am-6:30pm and Fri 9:00am-1:00pm. Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, and ensuring proper transport and storage while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
