Job summary

United Future in Monroe, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, labeling, and transport according to established procedures. Pediatric experience is required, and benefits are available.

Schedule: Mon - Thurs 9:00am - 6:30pm, Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm. A valid phlebotomy certification and 6 months venipuncture experience are preferred. This position supports quality patient care in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol to maintain integrity.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
