Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Support Tech I for on-site roles across multiple locations in Massachusetts. The position involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, computer entry, and lab support with a focus on accurate specimen collection and patient care.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, processing specimens, and coordinating with nursing and clinical staff. The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and valid driver’s license; phlebotomy training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy training and/or ASCP certification preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy and hospital information systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture across age groups.
• Receive and label specimens in the LIS and transport samples per protocol.
• Provide lab support including specimen registration, computer entry, and telephone coverage.
