Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Phlebotomist/Lab Support Tech I for Milford and other central Massachusetts locations. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen handling, and basic lab clerical duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and phlebotomy training; ASCP eligibility preferred. Will work a mixed schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. with holidays, weekends every third, and opportunities for signing bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Phlebotomy training and ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture across all age groups.
• Receive, label, and prioritize specimens accurately in the computer system.
• Maintain a clean, organized drawing station and restock supplies.
• Register courier-delivered specimens and troubleshoot printer issues.
• Order tests and support hospital information systems.
• Answer and transfer calls and provide coverage for incoming calls.
• Perform heel sticks and PKU collections.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and document shift reports.
