Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Lima Medical Office Building to draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and perform clerical duties to keep the lab efficient. You will enter orders, look up results, and assist with report generation while delivering friendly, attentive service to patients and staff.

The ideal candidate may have a phlebotomy certification and at least some customer service experience; travel to off-site locations is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and ensures proper processing.
• Identifies patients accurately and matches identity with service for patient safety.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as ordered.
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks, stocking supplies, and answering phones.
