Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Department. You will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and handle clerical tasks to keep the department efficient.

Responsibilities include order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering calls in a friendly manner. High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomist certification preferred but not required. One year of phlebotomy experience is welcomed but not mandatory.

• Position requires travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for testing.
• Identify patients and verify identity before service.
• Enter data and process specimens per test orders.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory, stocking, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
