Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Team at the Lima Medical Office Building 770 W High. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and perform supporting clerical duties to help the department run efficiently.

The successful candidate will provide courteous patient service, accurately identify patients, and handle specimen processing and data entry. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training or experience preferred (not required)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing
• Handle order entry, result look-up, and report generation
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and community
• Manage clerical duties and inventory; answer phones as needed
• Ensure correct patient identification and proper specimen processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
