Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Phlebotomist for the Lima Medical Office Building. The role draws high-quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and completes clerical tasks to keep the department efficient.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomist certification is preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service in a respectful manner.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures and ensure proper processing.
• Identify patients accurately and match identity with service to ensure patient safety.
• Perform data entry and specimen processing (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing) as ordered.
• Handle clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly and perform other duties as assigned.
