Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist who can work independently with minimal supervision. Compensation varies by modalities performed; a paid apprenticeship is possible for candidates without experience.

Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential. The role includes duties such as professional interaction with clients and patients, inventory maintenance, and participation in on-call and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibit basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call duties by location.
• Demonstrate effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal and confidential information.
• Participate in and maintain coverage levels for on-call and holidays/weekends as needed.
