Job summary

TriCore, Inc. in New Mexico's largest laboratory seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist to join Rust Hospital. You may work independently with minimal supervision and perform multiple modalities; compensation depends on modalities performed.

A paid apprenticeship is possible for candidates without experience. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential, with on-call duties, holidays, and occasional weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent is required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program or comparable training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to work at hospital locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to support departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Provide effective telephone and verbal communication.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holidays as required.
• Handle clerical tasks including documenting calls.
