Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater

Duration: 6 months

Shift: EST 8:00-5:00, shifts may vary

Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in for health routines or health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established procedures. It involves direct patient contact, creating trust and explaining procedures skillfully, safely, and accurately. The role emphasizes leadership behaviors, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Assignments may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or as needed.

Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately and timely, maintain a safe and professional environment, and handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing. Verify patient demographic information, label tubes in patient's presence, and complete required documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and staff.

Job Requirements

3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Required Education

Work Experience

1. Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
2. At least two years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
3. Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
4. Entry-level experience acceptable.
