Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist III – Floater for their Atlanta, GA location.

Responsibilities:

1. The Phlebotomist III represents the face of the company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
2. Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
3. Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
4. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
5. Under the supervision of the area manager, performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment. Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established protocols. Maintains records and documentation, and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
4. At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
5. Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
6. Customer service experience in a retail or service setting preferred.
7. Keyboard/data entry experience required.
