Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater

Location: Atlanta, GA 30342

Duration: 6 months

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Description:

• The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting with health routines or providing insights into health decisions.
• The PSR III draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
• The PSR III has direct patient contact, creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and drawing blood safely and accurately.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
• Assignments may include doctors' offices, patient service centers, or as needed based on business requirements.
• Performs daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
• Maintains a safe, professional environment.
• Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, verifying patient information and specimen labeling in their presence.
• Maintains records and documentation as required.
• Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with short notice.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• At least five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum of 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
