Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

- The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting with health routines or providing insights into health decisions.
- The PSR III draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
- The PSR III has direct patient contact, creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
- Assignments may include doctors' offices, patient service centers, or as needed based on business requirements.
- Performs daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
- Maintains a safe, professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, verifying patient information and specimen labeling in their presence.
- Maintains records and documentation as required.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with short notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum of 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
