Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Carmel, IN, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotation every 4th Saturday 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The role collects specimens, administers oral solutions, and verifies orders using lab systems.

A minimum of three years phlebotomy experience, data entry skills, and flexible availability are required. We offer competitive pay starting at $20+ per hour, plus eligibility for annual bonus, comprehensive benefits including medical coverage from day

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic). Phlebotomy certification preferred in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with department policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related maintenance logs.
