Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy experience required.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for laboratory testing and review requisitions.
• Process and accession specimens and distribute requisition copies.
• Collect lab specimens (blood, swabs, cultures, etc.) with attention to accuracy and sample integrity.
• Mentor and train new staff; document training activities and participate in evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with staff, departments, and physicians.
