Preston Memorial Hospital in West Virginia is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide patient-centered care by collecting specimens for laboratory testing in inpatient, outpatient, or off-campus sites.

You will register patients, prepare orders, and collect blood and other specimens while maintaining accurate records and following processing standards.

Strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and phlebotomy training are required; phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Formación

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must complete phlebotomy training.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients for laboratory testing and accurately enter orders.
• Process and accession specimens; distribute requisitions to the right departments.
• Collect lab specimens (venipuncture, capillary, MRSA swabs, throat cultures, EKGs, urine) with minimal rejections.
• Clarify responsibilities and communicate with supervisor to ensure clear performance expectations.
• Mentor and train other lab assistants as part of the team.
