Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center's Davis Medical Center in WV/Elkins is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide patient-centered specimen collection for laboratory testing across inpatient, outpatient, and off-campus sites. Qualifications

• Post high school diploma or certificate program in phlebotomy/MA preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training completed preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for laboratory testing and enter orders accurately.
• Receive specimens and distribute requisitions to appropriate departments.
• Collect lab specimens (blood by venipuncture and capillary, MRSA swabs, throat cultures, EKGs, urine) with <2% rejection.
• Mentor and train other lab assistants and team members.
