Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. The pay range is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour and performance-based bonuses may apply.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and ensuring accurate processing of tests. Benefits are comprehensive and include health and wellness programs. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
