Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Braintree, MA, seeks a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. The role involves collecting specimens, processing samples, and entering data in lab systems.

Pay ranges from $24.50 to $26.25 per hour, with eligibility for annual incentive compensation. Applicants should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data entry skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with data compilation and submission of statistics when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records.
