Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Employer Solutions in Fishers, IN is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with every 4th Saturday 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This hands-on role requires phlebotomy experience and the ability to work with diverse patient populations.

You will collect specimens, label and process samples, and enter data into lab systems while adhering to procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
