Job summary

Quest Diagnostics South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule with rotational weekends. The role entails specimen collection, data entry, and working with lab systems to verify orders and process specimens.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience; able to navigate lab systems.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies; complete training timely.
