Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Hoffman Estates, IL seeks a Phlebotomist II for Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotation every other Saturday 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role requires three years phlebotomy experience and ability to work with pediatric and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, labeling and processing, entering data into lab systems, and verifying orders.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience and accurate data handling.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures, including drug screens and biometric tests.
• Label, centrifuge, aliquot, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Verify orders by accessing lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data for testing and billing.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and participate in training programs.
