Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect and handle patient specimens for diagnostic testing. You will work in a dynamic team across outpatient, ED, and inpatient settings, following best practices and safety regulations.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and attention to detail, with opportunities for growth, mentoring, and cross-training in specimen processing and CODE response teams.

Qualifications

• BLS Required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
• Six months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing accurately in fast-paced hospital and clinic settings.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections across outpatient, ED, inpatient, and neonatal units.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety regulations in all settings.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and family, showing empathy in every interaction.
• Support growth and mentoring of new staff and participate in special projects as needed.
• Navigate multiple computer systems and maintain a clean, safe work environment; handle on-call and holiday rotations.
