Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Gaithersburg, MD team. Schedule: Mon–Fri 9:00am–6:00pm; every other Sat 8:00am–12:00pm. Perform blood collections, collect specimens, data entry, and prepare samples for testing.

Minimum: high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification or training or 3+ months experience; pediatric experience. Preferred: 2 years phlebotomy, ability to travel, overtime flexibility, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
