The schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours and possible Saturday rotation; candidates should have a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience, with certification preferred.

Phlebotomist Float – Clifton, NJ

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Clifton, NJ.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am and 8:00pm. Rotating Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or a completed training program from an accredited agency is acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour. Float incentive: $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees scheduled on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
