Job Title

Phlebotomist Float – East Orange, NJ

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other clinical analyses.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1.5 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required in lieu of work experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour. Floater may receive an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Eligible for the PST Incentive Plan and Float Incentive.

Benefits

• Full‑time employees (20+ hours per week) eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Part‑time employees (under 20 hours) eligible for 401(k) only.
• Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
