The position requires a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Mileage reimbursement is provided and some locations may be covered as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Matches laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
