ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Oceanside, CA. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and storage.

The schedule is 6AM–6PM, Monday–Friday, with potential weekend rotation and a 3-month project duration. The candidate must have a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture) and collect specimens.
• Label specimens and ensure accurate patient identification.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate equipment and maintain clean work areas.
• Update patient information and requisitions as needed.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
• Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
