Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist in Oceanside, CA for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. The shift runs 6AM–6PM (M–F) with weekend rotation and mileage reimbursement. Requires a valid Phlebotomy certification and venipuncture experience.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining patient data. Benefits available; driving record must be clean.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-4 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling and test requisitions.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
