Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Bridgeport Ave in Milford, CT. The role involves collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will handle venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, manage related data entry, billing support, and occasional travel to other sites. A phlebotomy certificate or equivalent training is required, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification, completed training, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Excellent patient service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse age groups and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
