Job summary

Labcorp (Farmington Ave, West Hartford, CT) is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and handle specimen processing with a strong focus on customer service. The role involves data entry, billing support, and potential travel to client sites.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
