Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Bridgeport, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend rotation. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods, collect samples for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient information management.

You’ll provide excellent customer service, process billing information, and prepare specimens for testing while maintaining logs. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests and other analyses.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
