Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Phlebotomist in Colonial Heights, VA. The role focuses on performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation in a fast-paced lab environment.

Assistance with troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvements is part of the responsibilities. Qualifications include a phlebotomy certification and at least six months of venipuncture experience, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, and split specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions or computer labels for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol to maintain specimen integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries from results.
