Workforce Recruiter in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a fast-paced clinical setting. The role is scheduled 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an initial 3-month term and potential for permanent placement. Location: Colonial Heights, VA.

The position emphasizes accurate blood collection, specimen handling, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and documenting results.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders; match requisitions to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
