H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a phlebotomist to assist with venipuncture, specimen labeling, and workflow improvements in a fast-paced lab setting. The role requires hands-on blood draw experience and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens, explaining procedures to patients, following test orders, and ensuring sample integrity during transport. OSHA/DEP compliance and annual trainings are required, with MS Office proficiency a must.

Qualificações

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly and courteously the venipuncture or other specimen collection process to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand all physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check test requisitions against scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer phone inquiries and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
