Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position requires at least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and will involve blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and proper specimen handling.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, documenting maintenance data, ensuring accurate labeling, and complying with OSHA regulations. Schedule is M-F 8a-5p with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results to satisfy questions.
