Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification and assesses reactions to specimen procurement.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Ensures proper labeling and suitability of specimens for testing and resolves requisition issues.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines according to policies.
• Answers phone calls and assists with inventory and billing support.
• Receives, sorts, packs, tracks, and processes specimens for testing.
• Orders and verifies test requests and runs quality control checks.
