Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and maintaining data.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per procedures.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and communicate lab results.
