Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our client team in Washington DC on Georgia Ave NW. You will perform blood draws, label specimens, and handle specimen processing in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This 3-month assignment with potential for permanent placement requires comfort with venipuncture on geriatric patients, adherence to safety regulations, and accurate documentation. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensures all test requisitions or labels match scripts for accuracy.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples per protocol.
