Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and manage specimen data in a fast-paced environment. You will collect, store, and transport specimens while ensuring patient information accuracy and compliance with lab procedures.

The role requires phlebotomy certification as required by the state, plus a minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a lab or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist as required in the employed state
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging and data recording
• Collect and store specimens per procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients
• Demonstrate technique with straight/butterfly needles
• Ensure orders match requisitions and label tubes correctly
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
• Attend department trainings
• Answer inquiries and relay results to staff
