Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and related specimen processing.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and maintain data.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results to staff.
• Maintain equipment and record maintenance data.
