Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Trinity, FL seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, M-F with rotating Saturdays, duration 3 months plus potential for perm.

This role requires phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure accurate documentation while following OSHA protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy roles.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand all physicians' orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against script for 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Handle phone inquiries and relay laboratory results.
