6 Degrees Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a valid phlebotomy certification for the state, 6 months to 1 year of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Potential for perm transfer exists based on performance and business need.

Competenze

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
